Numbering ourseves?

There are so many tests these days available online. One can find out what book describes them best, or what pizza they should have or even what city they should live in. Then there are those more appealing what kind of person tests. I like playing with them, I know I am boring, but remember that I am the person that finds reading the backside of the corn flakes box interesting, so personality tests are like really interesting...

Enneagram

This Enneagram thing tells me more about what kind of person I am. It seems to fit pretty well, however it leaves me to wondering whether it is just another need to apply a number to myself, an explanation, a reason, a something? We have grown to be these weak individuals that ned constant approval to do something, or at least, it appears to be.

I think the smarter human being becomes the weaker they are. The more they need to identify themselves with something, even if it is just a digit, that simplifies things. When you think digits alone are quite simple but combined they can express almost anything in our universe. I suppose a bit like people themselves...

I ended up a tie between 5 and 6

Type Five
The Investigator
The perceptive, cerebral type. Fives are alert, insightful, and curious. They are able to concentrate and focus on developing complex ideas and skills. Independent, innovative, and inventive, they can also become preoccupied with their thoughts and imaginary constructs. They become detached, yet high-strung and intense. They typically have problems with eccentricity, nihilism, and isolation. At their Best: visionary pioneers, often ahead of their time, and able to see the world in an entirely new way.

Type Six
The Loyalist
The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others.

What I don't like about the tests is that there are always many questions I cannot answer in teh way they want me to - the answer I want to give is not available, then I am forced to choose something I don't feel fits me.

Thank you Lorri!
I hate when there isn't an option that is suitable for me Richard! But then most of the time it is the same in life, we have to content ourselves with second best.
