Flu

Do you know that expression, that, what does not kill us makes us stronger? I think they were referring to the flu. I so far experienced the feelings of: suffocating, pressure on my face, my eyes being stuffed with glass, my ears being pierced, my chest being beaten, my back being broken and so on. I expressed the thought of dying a million times. Couldn't sleep all night and suffered from the idea of calling the school and telling them that I'm not coming to work today.
I never get bad colds, well let's correct this, I never got bad colds until now. I'm suffering so much I am starting to feel sorry for myself.
I don't think I will really suffocate or die from this flu, but it is a killer to go through and as I am not registered with a doctor over here, I will simply have to suffer this flu through...

The flu is not fun, I know, I know.

You try to take care...and the important thing is to drink plenty of liquids.

Rest when you can (easier said than done).

rest, if you can, it takes time to recover.

I don't believe Nietsche's saying. Many times, things that do not kill us make us weaker or leave us damaged. I can assure you that the car accident which in which my friend broke both his back and neck, did not leave him stronger. Fortunately, he has mobility and is not paralyzed, but he is nowhere near as strong physically (and never will be) as he once was.
