A week about me: Weird things

Before I started typing this list tonight my husband told me:

"You are not weird, you are normal."

But we all have something weird about us. Today I am going to list weird things about me.

When I was born I didn not cry, even after being slapped and sprinkled with cold water, all I did was sneeeze.

At the age of five when asked what do I want to do when when I will grow up, I responded, I will go to England. I actually fulfilled the statement.

Before I learned a word in English I could recite an English nursery rhyme, that goes:

Little Jack Horner sat in the corner
Eating his Christmas pie,
He put in his thumb and pulled out a plum
And said "What a good boy am I!"

Since the age of nine, I speak and sometimes sing in my sleep, in perfect English. My husband has confirmed it on numerous occasions. Apparently I speak clear, upper class English, but this only happens in my sleep.

I can consume five kilos of strawberries and still want more.

I can not ride a bike, I learned once, but I forgot.

I call my dogs - children.

I find the word "mate" when directed at me insulting.

When I speak Russian, German and French, I have a broad Lithuanian accent, but when I speak Lithuanian, I have a broad English accent.

I immensely dislike the colour yellow for no particular reason.

I cried at the end of Disney's Aladdin last week. I also cried while watching The Lion King, Bambi, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Dumbo.

I love this list! It is the "weird" things about us that make us so interesting!!

B, maybe you should do a list like that about yourself? It would be rather interesting to read!

I think it is only considered "weird" when it is atypical in the general population. However, since each person is unique they have their own idiosyncracies.

Unless the behaviour is harmful or offensive, I see no reason to characterize it as weird.

I am not sure I can eat 5 kilos of strawberries without suffering for it.

Richard maybe you don't love strawberries as much as i do?

That made a funny reading, Carra!

I couldnt understand the reason for ur dislike of the word "mate". I use it pretty frequently as a synonym to "friend".But wont dare use it for you now!!
That sleep-talk (and even sleep walk) has been a part of my life also but its gone with age.Its a nice idea though, would try to write the "weired" things about me shortly.
