7 songs meme

I was tagged by B to do this meme, and I must admit I will gladly do so. As it comes to music, I am really nasty. It simply appears so to the people that love music for noise. I am not very selective. Simple tune, and the words most of the time don't have to be extraordinary either. Even though I can not listen to blunt songs with weak lyrics I do tend to like rock 'n roll because it makes me feel happy. Anyway enough about me. Here goes the list:

1. Song that I am listening the most at this time is Sarah Brightman Time To Say Goodbye I love classical music, and in my eyes this song is a classic. Every time I listen to this it sends shivers down my spine. It is a good sing, if a song can touch me not only emotionally but also physically, that's the maximum.

2. The Four SeasonsBig Girls Don't Cry Well this is just so typical of me, I will philosophize about lyrics and music and then like listening to something like this! It just proves that I am totally oxymoron. My ears and feet seem to like this song, I always start dancing when I hear this whether I am in public or not.

3. This song is from a film Mad Max. Having been a fan of Tina Turner for years and always wanting her hair it is just normal that one of her songs is on the list. We don't need another hero I like it because Tina seems to express a lot of her vocal abilities. She sings in a low but still beautifully harsh voice and that's what makes it. Though when time comes she proves to sing more demanding lines, like she was able to so many times before, she manages it so effortlessly in this song as well. I suppose I just don't need another hero, as well.

4. Luciano Pavarotti unfortunately it seems like this man had to die before my husband got an album of his music. Brindisi:Libiamo, ne'lieti calici is if I remember right from an opera Rigoletto, by Verdi. I have loved this aria since I was a little girl and I haven't stopped liking it yet. The timing of listening to Luciano Pavarotti has nothing to do with his death. I simply recently received his album as a gift, and therefor I'll listen to it until my husband turns sick (he can not stand opera).

5.Queen Spread Your Wings I always listened to Queen, I always loved Freddie's voice, but this song is the most special to me, and it seems like it's going to stay with me for the rest of my life. When I left Lithuania 4 years ago, it was this song I was singing, when I was down, and needed strength, it was this song I was singing. As my life seems to be always moving, and I just run after it, I prove again and again, that I am able to spread my wings and fly away, fly away, far away...

6. Yann Tiersen La Dispute for those who saw the film Le fabouleux destin d'Amelie Poulain this melody will remind them of something. I love accordion and I love piano too, for me this song is the French-ness alive!

7. Astor Piazzolla Tanguedia III. For a conservative European from a rather cold climate I can not explain my passion for Tango logically, yet I love it with all my heart. I can dance a little of Tango, but I don't seem to have what it takes: Passion, Jealousy and Love. Every time I hear this it seems to touch a certain string of my heart, that just reminds me I may be not as reserved as I think I am!

If you click on the name of the song you'll be forwarded to the download page. You can download the song and hear it!

This is my current favourites collection. It changes all the time, sometimes I can get really obsessed with a particular piece with no reason at all! I won't tag anyone, but if you feel like doing this meme please let me know!
