Dreaming towards a dream

This is the best picture I could find online of a thatched roof white cottage, because that's exactly the thing I have on my mind when I dream about my future, my own home. It isn't just any place, it is a particular little cottage, somewhere in England.
Yes, I know, you all are probably very sick of hearing about my obsession with England. I just can't explain why it is so. All my life since the very young age I was obsessed with that place, and when it comes to planning (or at least dreaming) my future, that is the exact place I have on my mind. Nothing more, nothing less. I can live without French wine or cheese, or even hearing my mother tongue language ever again, just give me England and that dream cottage any day of the week.

However, we all know, that life is not that simple. Even though, I have been fortunate enough, to have most of my dreams come true, I don't think it is always going to be that way, even if I haven't given up hopes. Life is not just a cake that you can eat through, it's a rocky road of ups and downs, that try to humble you in the process and you have to try an resist it all, even if just by using your hopes and dreams.
That is what I do every day of my life.
I know life is not fair, and as my great-grandmother used to say, hope is the mother of all fools, still I have nothing to lose. If you never dream, hope or believe, you may feel like you will never lose, but then you have nothing to live for apart from the actual process of existence.

So I maybe choosing the silly (or the easy) option, but it is my way of doing things, and you will hear me expressing my obsessions about England many times to come and that has nothing to do with the buying power of the British Pound or my English husband, it is purely tied to my dreams.

I am glad you have such a passion and dream. Don't let it die. Don't think it foolish. Strive for it always. However, remember also that You may find that having is not so nearly pleasing a thing as wanting. - From Star Trek, Amok Time.

I dream for a house on the side of a mountain overlooking a lake and a laboratory / workshop hidden deep in the woods.
