Wireless hell

R ecently my husband messed up this wireless connection receiver that came with the Wanadoo internet connection pack. So being "I can fix it girl" I decided to help. I wasn't willing to spend fifty euros buying a new receiver so instead I decided to use the laptop built in wireless connection receiver. I spent the whole day yesterday reading instructions following them religiously and then trying to make the connection work! In vain.

I reached that certain level when I had no will to try again. I don't understand why make it so complicated that for someone so understanding and simple (not the couple of sandwiches missing for the picnic way) it seems to be not clear.

I read the instructions made sure I understood them (they are in bloody french aren't they!) and I gave up. And honestly I am not willing to pay thirty four cents a minute to talk to someone in Wanadoo so that later on they would simply connect me to the double priced english speaking line. I am speaking French to them and I believe they simply refuse to try and understand me. It happened with EDF, France Telecom and I am pretty sure it would happen with Wanadoo (especially when I know it is owned by France Telecom).

So I give in. At the moment I can not afford to pay fifty euros for a stupid made in China gadget, I don't think trying again the same thing will fix the problem. So I am calling that English speaking community here in France please help me! I beg you. I am computer literate and I managed to work out my Mac within hours I am not an idiot but I simply can not do it on my own any more!

I had a similar experience! We ended up having a computer literate French friend help us...sorry, I don't know what exactly he did. Good luck, Carra. I know it IS very frustrating to sort out : (
