Enough is enough... A writer's tragedy

R ight. Enough is enough. I don't know anymore whether I really have a writer's block or I'm just being lazy.
Yesterday I wrote two really bad posts and I simply couldn't post them because they were really bad. Today after viewing some other blogs I decided to fight my laziness and write something at least reasonably good.
So I switched my marvelous iPod on, did some searching online and... got stuck. Well I keep on trying. I loved Pumpkin's post on her blog about her nature and funny enough I took quite a few pictures in my garden couple of days ago adoring the beauty of nature.
I really love my lemon tree that used to live and the living room but as the temperature raised above 30 degrees Celsius during the day up here in the fabulous Hautes Pyrenees we decided to let it have some fresh air.

My rose is doing really great, considering the fact that the only rose I had before was watered to death.

In total the 10 euros investment in strawberry plants returned me ten strawberries. I guess my strawberries are the most expensive in France but I promise you they are the sweetest!
My sunflowers are rushing to grow up and lavender really wants to show all this beauty, but this one will have to wait for a while. My front garden is full of daisies and clover it looks absolutely beautiful and is full of bees. I don't want to have the grass cut those flowers are to pretty just to be cut of for a 'level-lawn'. No way.

My translation project hasn't moved for few days, or actually since Bernadette left the blogging world. I guess I am addicted to her more than I would like to admit and our brain stimulating conversations do help me in improving.
The weather is really beautiful and yesterday evening we spent in the garden watching the clouds and the mountains...
I told you I am not doing well with my writing at the moment. Hopefully it will get better and the publishers will contact me before I end up in some french asylum. Anyway look at the pictures I have taken the other day. As I am getting nowhere with my writing right now and this is a real writer's tragedy...

I've been having blogger's block this week too. I think it must be the weather. I can't believe it's already been a week since my last post. Like Kim says, it's a hobby, not a job. I think the minute we start to feel it's a job, we get blocked. Or at least I do.
Posting pictures is always a good alternative to blogging. Otherwise, just relax and don't worry about it, give yourself permission to write whatever you want, even if it's bad. Don't worry about absolutely having to write something good, and then the posts will just come right out

I love the pic of the roses with the water drops on them. I love roses.

I have been having trouble coming up with something good to write too lately. I think it is the warm weather. We are all outside alive again and the computer is sitting quietly abandoned.

So thoughtful of you to mention me! I missed you so much as well and am happy to be back. As any of us writers will reiterate to you...writing isn't this constantly flowing ability. We need down time, to reflect and absorb. I am happily discovering that most talented writers go through dry spells and then purges. We (myself certainly included!) too often expect that if we are "true" writers, we will just be a well overflowing with ideas and words constantly. Not true.

Try to enjoy this time. I find that when I go through this, reading is such a wonderful substitute. And reflect on what you are going through. We believe in you and enjoy your blogs so much...all of them!
