Keeping away from the computer and TV helps.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08466885792177930052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20447441.post-55553324000030953182009-10-22T10:51:12.337+01:002009-10-22T10:51:12.337+01:00Oh yes I feel very very very guilty. Diet unfortunately does not help, because then I feel bad and guilty all the time, as I let myself gain all that weight and now I have to starve myself to get rid of it.

I also find that I snack most when I have nothing to do, it is like if I am eating out of boredom. So I always try to keep myself busy. Also even though I am earning money I am trying to save some for the big move so that stops me from buying sweets a lot...

I think walking is a great idea as long as there is time in the day to do it...

I cut sugar out of my tea too and the same as you that does not stop me from pigging out with sweets. I think you are right with saving and sweets, it is the only occasion where buying less means saving more!CGhttp://carrasdream.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20447441.post-37205501213358278302009-10-20T12:00:39.997+01:002009-10-20T12:00:39.997+01:00Do you really feel guilty after indulging? Mind you, this is because I have no source of income and can't very well go to Sofia and ask for money for junk food - so this impulse is firmly leashed.

On the other hand, I spend a good part of my day walking (which worries Sofia since I am not working on any projects), which takes my mind off food. Spending less time in fornt of the computer definitely cuts the nibbles down. In fact, I notice I nibble most when on the computer or watching TV. So minimizing exposure to triggers is important too.

I cut out sugar in tea over 20 years ago because I fouind myself not feeling afterwards. Of course, I can still easily eat a kilo of sweets - but I certainly notice the negative impact on my body. Instilling restraint is hard - it is so easy to go from 1 piece of chocolate to the whole box. Another problem is shopping economically (getting the best bang for the buck) for sweets - this is one place were indulgence size needs to rpioritized over value (because I am just going to eat it all at one sitting anyway).Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08466885792177930052noreply@blogger.com
